Bjorn Ovick

Bjorn Ovick, Co-Founder of Staffly, is a seasoned business leader with a proven track record of building new and innovative products which offer solutions to markets. He blends the unique ability of launching and growing cutting-edge businesses and driving next generation small business solutions. Bjorn drew upon this expertise to start a retail staffing solution company called Staffly, Inc. in early 2015 with his wife Marissa. In an extremely successful first year Staffly hired around 400 Staffers and assisted 130 local businesses in the retail sector.

Before launching Staffly, Bjorn led Visa’s Global Acquirer Processing innovation, product strategy, and programs. In this role, he was responsible for bringing Visa’s next generation solutions to the merchant eco-system, by developing and implementing services and programs to enable new initiatives through various partner channels. Prior to joining Visa in April 2011, Bjorn headed up business development for American Express’ recently acquired digital wallet platform Serve. In this role, he crafted the business development strategy and built the team leading to a successful launch of the new business. Bjorn also spent time at PayPal launching their first Point of Sale solution and led business development efforts for Bling Nation, a NFC payment platform for Financial Institutions. His roots in payments began at Wells Fargo, leading payment strategies, sales and products in the bank’s Internet Service Group and Merchant Services organizations for 9 years.

Bjorn holds an MBA from Dominican University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
